Description

Bounce Sir is a simple action-arcade game in which players must draw gelatinous lines to bounce a talkative, gentlemanly sphere (named Sir) progressively up into the heavens. The journey isn't easy, as players must look out for the angry red spheres (called Punks) every bounce of the way. Beneath it all, the game chronicles Sir's journey to discover the truth about himself and the nature of his existence.

History

Bounce Sir started as a quick gameplay prototype by brothers Parth and Preet. They quickly grew attached to the main character (Sir) in his prototype form, so they left him largely unchanged and themed the game around his looks and simplicity.

Sir had a mysterious, Mona-Lisa-like quality to his expression that Parth and Preet found intriguing. They decided to give him a voice. After recording over 300 voice clips, Sir was brought to life as a wacky, oddly simplistic, somewhat annoying but lovable humanoid sphere.

They liked the idea of exploring a deeper narrative while retaining the simplicity of the game in both mechanics and appearance. The resulting game embodies the "mindless" and repetitive nature of games such as Flappy Bird but juxtaposes complex human themes such as existential angst and transcendental awakening.
